An Orbital Idea is one worth thinking about

It's not what we do, how we do it or why that makes an Orbital Idea. An Orbital Idea is simply one we keep thinking about. You might not think about it all the time, you might forget about it, you might even convince yourself that you have stopped thinking about it, but it's still there. A glimmer of a spark in the dark.

The world wide web is just a place where these motes are ensnared. Minds come to feed upon them. In so doing they are absorbed and often grow into memes upon which minds continue to suckle. Sometimes they provide nutrients, sometimes they don't. The ones that do could become Orbital Ideas.

Of course ideas don't speak louder than actions, if they could our words might help us reach escape velocity.
