Poor Jeanne
Tried, then worn,
Tattered and torn,
The newborn
Infants of the mind
Find
Abuse, misuse,
In time,
Sometimes,
Love

Goleta After Hours
Traffic signals all alone
Electric ghost town
On the bridge we’re halfway home
Strange rumbling, oncoming rush
Bright revolving headlight coming at me
Feel the earth tremble all around us
I’ll hold you and you hold me
Warm until the monster rushes past.

Helical Paradox
Alpha pain,
The fires of birth,
The Hell of coming through . . .
This is where I begin.
In between,
Swirling in an ocean,
On an ever expanding track
Whose concentricity remains
On a line between alpha and omega . . .
The shortest distance between two breaths.
Before I surrender at the end,
A glimpse of Heaven,
Water clouds at death,
Omega dissolution.
